How it works

  1. 01Lay your pattern out dry on the base, from the centre outwards.
  2. 02Glue each tessera, leaving a little space for the grout.
  3. 03Apply the grout and wipe off the excess.

What's included

  • A base (2 coasters or 1 trivet)
  • Glue, grout powder, mosaic nippers
  • A pair of gloves

You take your piece home the same day. The grout simply finishes drying at your place, allow 24 hours in the open air.

A few techniques

Tiles can cut. Gloves and mosaic nippers are available at the bar.

  • Lay your pattern out dry on the base, starting from the centre.
  • Leave 1 to 2 mm between each tile: that is where the grout will sit.
  • Two or three handfuls of tiles are enough for one base.
  • To cut, keep the nippers as close to the table as you can and close them gradually.
  • Mix the grout with a little water poured in bit by bit, until it has the texture of toothpaste.
  • Apply the grout with the stick, finish with your finger, then smooth with a damp sponge.

After your session

You take your piece home the same day. The grout simply finishes drying at your place, allow 24 hours in the open air. We will give you a box if you would rather carry it safely.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any mosaic experience?
None at all. You lay your pattern out dry before gluing anything, so you can rearrange it for as long as you are not happy with it.
Do I take my piece home the same day?
Yes. You take it with you when you leave. The grout simply finishes drying at your place, allow 24 hours in the open air. We will give you a box if you would rather carry it safely.
Why does the price change?
It depends on the base: €35 for two coasters, €45 for a size M trivet.
Can you cut yourself on the tiles?
They can cut, yes. Gloves and mosaic nippers are available at the bar: keep a glove on the hand that is not holding the nippers.
What is included in the price?
Your base, the glue, the grout and its measuring pot, a stick and a pair of precision nippers, for your two-hour slot. Gloves and mosaic nippers are available at the bar.
Can we come as a group?
Yes. From 10 people we set aside a dedicated room, for up to 12. Beyond that, we can book out the whole place for up to 50. Everything is on the Groups page.
