How it works

  1. 01Sketch lightly in pencil, then prepare your palette.
  2. 02Paint in layers: backgrounds first, details after.
  3. 03Let your cards dry for a few minutes, then take them with you.

What's included

  • Three watercolour paper cards
  • A colour palette (10 pans)
  • Brushes, water pot and pencil

A few techniques

  • Keep some white on the paper, that is what makes the light.
  • Less water gives sharp lines, more water gives soft effects.
  • Start with the light washes, add the main shapes, finish with the details.
  • Let each layer dry properly.
  • Sketch lightly in pencil before painting, it guides you without showing afterwards.

After your session

You take your three cards home the same day. Once back, put them under a weight until they flatten out.

Do I need to know how to paint?
No, no experience is needed. You sketch lightly in pencil before you start, and we show you how to get going.
What do I take home?
Three watercolour cards, to send or to keep. They dry on your table for a few minutes and you take them with you the same day.
Any tips to get started?
Keep some white on the paper, that is what makes the light. Less water gives sharp lines, more water gives soft effects. And let each layer dry properly.
What can I paint?
Whatever you like: a holiday landscape, a favourite dish, a memory. Start with the light washes, add the shapes, finish with the details.
How do I keep my cards flat?
Once back home, put them under a weight until they flatten out.
Can we come as a group?
Yes. From 10 people we set aside a dedicated room, for up to 12. Beyond that, we can book out the whole place for up to 50. Everything is on the Groups page.
