How it works

  1. 01Browse, select, cut out whatever catches your eye.
  2. 02Position without gluing, then glue from background to foreground.
  3. 03Smooth it down, wipe off the excess glue, and leave with your poster.

A few techniques

The knife blade is used on the cutting mat, never anywhere else.

  • Pick one main element, then build everything else around it.
  • Lay the whole thing out without gluing before you commit.
  • Glue from the background towards the foreground.
  • The precision knife lets you bring an element from the background to the front, and that is what creates depth.
  • Smooth as you go and wipe off any excess glue.

After your session

Your poster leaves with you the same day. A few hours under something heavy and it is ready to go on a wall.

Do I need to know how to draw?
No, there is nothing to draw. You cut, you compose, you glue.
Do I take my poster home the same day?
Yes. You smooth it down, wipe off the excess glue, and the poster leaves with you.
What size is the poster?
An A4 kraft base.
What is included in the price?
Your A4 base, the glue, scissors, a precision knife and access to the magazine bar, for your two-hour slot.
How long does a session last?
Two hours, like every activity on the Art Menu.
Can we come as a group?
Yes. From 10 people we set aside a dedicated room, for up to 12. Beyond that, we can book out the whole place for up to 50. Everything is on the Groups page.
